With all of the holiday baking around, I wanted to create something small, bite sized, and full of antioxidants. There isn’t an exact recipe for this, as you can use any superfoods, nuts, or unsalted trail mix that you prefer! I hope you enjoy these Dark Chocolate Superfood Bites!

Super simple and full of antioxidants, these dark chocolate bites are a great treat or dessert for the holidays or any time of the year!

Ingredients

Dark Chocolate

Whole raw almonds

Raw Sunflower Seeds

Raw Pumpkin Seeds

Pecan pieces

Dried Goji Berries (Optional)

Craisins

Christmas M&M's (optional)

Directions

1Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or carefully in the microwave. Be careful not to burn it! You can use whatever measurement of chocolate you want (depending on how many you want to make. Cover a cookie sheet with wax paper.

2Set out all of your "superfood" ingredients. You can use any toppings that you like. You can change the kinds of nuts or superfoods that you use to suit your taste. I used red and green M&M's to add some Christmas colour...these were not really a healthy addition.

3Drop small, bite sized spoonfuls of melted chocolate onto your cookie sheet. I did about a half a pan at a time. While they are still melted, place your superfoods and push them in lightly so that they will stay in place when the chocolate hardens. You could also purchase a pre-mixed superfood trailmix to use (as long as it isn't salted...no one needs that added sodium!).

4Let them harden on the pan, (or in the fridge for faster results) remove and enjoy!
